'33 griffin price

    have you guys seen the price bid on the '33 griffin on ebay? wow. i passed on one at hershey two years ago..fully restored including the emblem because i thought 400 was too much. wow. i hope it is going on a car and not in a cabinet. regards, tom

    considering it has to be replated & has no "badge" think that's overpriced.
    one has to be VERY careful about to whom you'd entrust to replate this, a shop that would not buff it down too much & be careful with all the small parts that stick out & who do small pieces, not just bumpers.
    I was told the best places to seek out are those that plate stuff for motorcycles as "bikers" will only accept top quality work & deal only in small parts.
    When I was in the process of restoring my T8 conv. I sent a bumper to a shop as a "test case", LOL. I had several "mascots", inc. an NOS one - wonder what that would bring on eBay?

    When I sold my '33 all of the parts went with it. There was at least one nice spare but know the new owner wishes to remain anonymous & until car finished would not sell any of the many spare parts that went with it.
