'53 Park lamp lenses.
-
My '53 Hornet has a cracked left lense (plastic). Can anyone help me locate a replacement please? Do the previous year's glass lenses fit this model lamp? If so I would like to locate a pair of these.

Geoff - The glass lens units were only used on very early production 1952 models and were completely different housings - were not interchangeable. By 1953 the only units build were with the plastic lens. I believe I may have plastic lens for your car if I did not sell them at the Gettysburg National. I'll have to check my shelves tomorrow - will let you knowJerry

O.K., thanks for looking. Have checked out Eshelman's website, and they have new ones listed, so I'll get one from there. If you're stuck in a hole, stop digging.

You must check how your lenses are installed. Some are screwed in place and others are glued in place. My 2 53 Hornets are screwed into the housing and they are original glass. So are my tail light lens. Walt.
