Hudson 8 cyl
-
Looking for a running or rebuildable 47 - 50 Hudson 8 cylinder engine.
Any leads out there? -
It might be helpful to know what area you're in -- or are you willing to go across the country for an engine? Would this engine have to be running, or could it be disassembled? (I heard of one that was possibly for sale earlier this year but it was partially apart.)

I have a few of them , none that would'nt need some work though,

Depending what you're gonna put it in, you may want to change your search.
If you're gonna put it in a pre-stepdown you can use the 254 from 35 to 47.
I just rebuilt a 39 for my 46 Pickup.
The stepdown eights have a wider block and pan which will interfere with your steering shaft on a pre-stepdown. Can be overcome by cutting the pan web or the steering shaft. -
I'm in Racine, Wi. thats in the Southeastern part of the state. Would like to find and engine within about. 3 - 400 miles of my location.
Tallent R, where are U located???? What shape are your motors in???
Bull Islander, thanks for the lead I'll check it out.

I'm down 40 miles from St. Louis in rural area of Illinois. I have one that was pulled with a noise like a piston slap. I have a rebuilt one that was never run but has sat for 20 years. I have 4 in unknown condition ,and one taken apart.

I'll bet Dr. Doug has an engine, and he's not that far away from you (southern IN)

Hi--- I have a completely rebuilt 8 cylinder from a 47. Don't know if I want to sell it though. Cliff Minard Myerstown, Pa.
