1933 terraplane 8
-
Looking for correct wheels for 33 Essex terraplane 8 2dr sedan also center caps. Also in need of front seat. Thanks John 314 922 0041
-
I know a guy who has a full set of 4 lug 17" wire wheels with the adjustable spokes that would be correct for this car. They do not have the correct center caps. He was firm at $500 for the set of 5 last summer. I'll be glad to share his information if you'd like to check with him.
Matt -
John, any pictures of your car? I have a 4 door sedan I'm working on.
Matt -
Give me until next week and I will load some pics. I thought the size of wheels were 16" from 33?
-
The '33 Terraplane 8 model KT used 16" wires rather than the 17" that were used on the 6 cylinder modelsJerry

I'm looking for a seat too. Don't know if they're the same, but I need for a '33 Terraplane 8 Convertible. Even just a pattern would be nice.
I have the center caps. Various condition, also some other little odds and ends, not much. Press Kale does an outstanding job on restoring these caps. If you didn't know. -
Sorry, I typed with out thinking. They are 16" adjustable spoke, 6 cyl were 17" fixed spoke. The set I mentioned are the correct 16" ones for a T8.
Matt -
Also, I have a front seat(s) for a big 32 Essex 2 door sedan, but I imagine they are different than the Terraplane seats. Anyone know how close they are?
-
I just recently posted an article on restoring these caps. Check it out. I also have two Terraplane "8" three piece caps in usable condition. I would sell them for $40 each or $200 restored. The article I mention shows what these look like finished (only they say Essex on the shell)--they are the same cap..

Brownie, that sounds cheap. Is that the going rate?
-
Brownie, I'll take those caps for that price. Matt
-
Not too sure of the prices. I tend to do more "Break Even" business because I am only moving parts around to where they are of use. I paid 40 for them and it costs me about $180 to restore one. Other than that, I am not too sure.Brownie
-
I am interested in them as is if you would like to sell them. I have a set but I would like spares.
Matt -
