Hudson 232 thermostat
-
Hi
I am looking for a new thermostat for the Pacemaker. Can someone please advise the correct part number and / or best place to get one.
Thanks
Alistair -
OEM style or modern using the modified housing?

Contact Walt Mordenti at hetwaltmordenti@aol.com drop the het, he makes a kit that helps cool the radiator and uses a modern thermostat, 160 degrees, and have sold a few in your area. Walt.

PM500 - I will look at either option. Original is fine if there are no issues with using these. Are they available?
Walt - have sent you an email -
If you buy a NOS bellows type one shake it and if it sounds like it has liquid inside it should still be good. Also that on type some require a top gasket to fit right and some dont. Depends on who made the thermostat,

Mopar thermostats from the 60's-70's fit if you want to go that route. But you need to plug the bypass if you have a bypass type and drill a small hole in the plug,

Thanks for that Roger

Here are 3 different part numbers for a modern 160 degree thermostat. Stant #13076, Stant #29706 and Carquest #30236. I know for sure that the Carquest part will work, because that is what I'm using in my Pacemaker. You will need to block the bypass and drill a small hole in whatever you use for the bypass block as Roger said.

Yep, these guys are right. I had the machine shop put a freeze plug in there and drill a hold in it. I'll check the part number of the thermostat I used. I also put mine in a 1950 Pacemaker Deluxe and seems to work fine for almost 2 years now.

The last time I bought a new one at the part store the coolest they had was 160 . would have liked cooler one but oh well,
