Here's hoping our HET family members in the Northeast are ok. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all.
Hudsonly,
Alex Burr
Memphis, TN -
Alex, I hope all is well there also as I have many friends and family just where the storm hit. No news as phones are out and no electric. Waiting to receive calls or e-mails. Walt.

Thinking of you guys at this terrible time, hope all are ok.

In Central Connecticut we are OK. Just a few trees down and power outages. Southern Connecticut along the water got hit really hard. New York City, New Jersey also got hit hard.
Thank you for thinking of us in these times.

My sister in law and her husband were evacuated from Manhattan, water is up to the first floor In the old Bear- Stearns building, and my other Sis in law ( in Long Island) has been without electric for 48 hours & maybe for as long as 10 days. My daughter( an MD) is working around the clock at Montefiore Hospital, and my 2 NYPD nephews don't even bother to go home. They could not get there anyway... this is really bad. Its times like this I'm glad we moved to Arizona. Ron Sotardi

Am in MD, between Baltimore and DC - about 50-60 miles southeast of where the 'eye of the tiger' came ashore, and about 10 miles east of Chesapeake Bay. A lot of flooding, wind damage, downed trees, and about 7"-9" of rain thus far. Power went out, but is back now. Luckily, we've Just got to deal with some minor flooding and clean-up...

I am in Southwest Metro DC - just outside the beltway. We are OK. Lights only flickered here three times, once just enough to shut off the TV and cable box but not mess up the clocks. We had expected power to be out for days.
