Too bad its so far away X(

I know most folks just see junk there, but I see tons of parts if nothing else.

George was a HET member but not a chapter member. Once upon a time a SoCal chapter member. I was told he never let anyone on the property to see his cars, not even club members. It seems I was the first one outside the family invited to see it all to help liquidate the cars and parts. All vehicles were left outside and each one covered with 10-12 tarps for decades which did more to deteriorate their condition than help. I was told the blue one was a doctors car in like new condition when it was parked. The seats still look good but the outside does not look so good. I bought one of the 4 pickups that were there and the paint job had baked and seperated from the metal setting decades under summer heat being under so many tarps. Much of the lacquer paint blew off towing it home. It too needs alot of work. Only one of the Hornet sedans has any rust cancer on the rocker panel. All the others have some surface rust and some parts that he removed. There were 25 cars and trucks and 15 of those were Hudsons. Four Hudsons have been sold before this post. 2 PU's, a 52 Hollywood, and 54 Hornet Coupe.

They don't look it but for the most part the bodies are in very good condition. No rust buckets or all banged up. But they will need a lot of tender loving care. They deserved to be saved. I wish I had more mula and space but lacking in both. That 47 stretched frame PU keeps tugging at me but no more room.

The 54 Hornet Special coupe will soon have a new home with Brownie. It's leaving Sat.
Chris chose the 47 Commador over the 47 PU stretched frame. Leaving Dec 1
The 54 Hornet Coupe is spoken for and will be going down under.
My Son Rick will be going home with a 54 Hornet Special 2dr sedan.
The 47 stretched frame PU is spoken for.

It was a surprise when we opened the trunk on the 47 Commador to see a spare SBC engine.

If anyone is wanting a Hudson stepdown without a rusted out perimeter frame, here's you chance to put one back on the road. Maybe they would sell faster if painted satin black. They would look alot better.

Chris, one of the 54 Hornets is a two door club sedan, not a coupe. The 2 door club sedan has the long rear side windows, and short trunk lid like the 4 door, whereas the club coupe has the short rear side window and long trunk lid. The 54 Hornet Special was available in two door club sedan body style like the Wasp and Super Wasp.

Yes, they simply changed the name in sales brochures from "brougham" to "club sedan".
