This was on the AACA site,no story but a neat car. Original? -
Looks like the one that was at the national in Gettysburg this year. I agree, neat car.
-
yes - I believe that is a photo taken at the Hershey swap meet in '11 when it was for sale. I was told at Gettysburg the new owner paid $40K for it.
I took a lot of photos of it at Gettysburg but was never able to find the owner as sure would have liked to have talked to him. -
Yup - that's the car that was at Hershey & at the Gettysburg National. I was lucky enough to meet and speak with the owner, who filled me in on the details of the purchase and his plans for the car.
-
I too spoke to the fellow. He lives on Long Island. Can't recall his name though.
Someone told me that he arrived at the meet with a shopping list (for the flea market) that included a hard-to-find piece of chrome trim. (What could be more obscure than a body part for a 1938 Anything?) And he found it!
These rare ones (like '38's, '33's and '42's) keep popping out of the woodwork.... -
It matches the airstream style trailer in the background.Quite a pair.
-
i sold him the trim piece, his name is george nikolopoulos 631-325-1953. paul
