head lights for 39 six
-
Any ideas where I may find some headlights for a 39 Six? teardrop style fender mounted.
-
Are you looking for just the lens, or the whole bucket assembly? The lens show up on ebay from tine to time.
-
Did an eBay search and found a lens for $60 and a trim ring for $35. Every now and then they show up as mentioned above.

I FIXED UP MY HEADLIGHT BUCKETS FOR MY 39 ROADSTER PROJECT WITH A BALLOON AND SOME EPOXY I INSTALLED THE BALLOON IN THE BUCKET WHILE ON THE BENCH I JUST COATED THE BALLOON AFTER I CLEANED UP ALL THE OLD RUST FROM THE BUCKET YOU CAN NOT TELL THEM FROM A NOS BUCKET UNLESS YOU USE A MAGNET I COULD HAVE GROUND THEM SO THEY WERE SMOOTH BUT I SAW NO NEED TO DO THAT AS THESE WILL NEVER BE SEEN AFTER THEY ARE INSTALLED

I guess I need the light assembly itself. My head lamps are the super beetle conversion type and I have one original ring and lense and in the process of purchasing another ring. But the light assembly would be what I need. Not sure how they were made back then.

THE 1ST PHOTO IS THE OUTER TRIM RINGS WITH THE REFLECTERS 2ND IS THE OUTER RING WITH THE HEADLIGHT LENSE THE REFLECTERS GO INSIDE OF THE BUCKETS AFTER THEY ARE INSTALLED IN THE FENDER I HOPE THIS HELPS

-
Have you tried Donald Axelrod? 35 Timson St, Lynn, MA 01902, PH: 781-598-0523; hdlthqtrs@aol.com . He'll probably want to sell you the complete assembly (bucket, reflector, glass, trim) but you could always ask.
-
I have not, but thanks Jon I will give him a try and see what comes up.
