Important announcement - Forums Upgrade
-
ClassicCar.com changed ownership in late 2011 and is now owned and operated by a group of passionate Classic Car fans just like you! Since taking the reigns we’ve been hard at work behind the scenes creating a new and improved website.
Forums Update & Downtime
We’re upgrading the forums to a more flexible and feature-rich platform this morning. As part of the update the forums will be offline for up to 24 hours, this outage is due to us wanting to ensure all old posts and member data is accurately transferred.
Rest assured we will do what we can to minimize the downtime. Once the Forums are upgraded you will be able to login and post using the same login credentials that you have now.
ClassicCar.com Website Update
Once the forums have been successfully updated we will push the new ClassicCar.com website live. Notable enhancements include:
[ul]
[li]FREE Classifieds for buying & selling classic cars [/li]
[li]Fresh new user-friendly interface & design[/li]
[li]Updated forums (faster, easier to use, more attractive)[/li]
[li]Frequently updated classic car news & editorial[/li]
[li]Up-to-date calendar of Classic Car Events in the USA[/li]
[li]A comprehensive directory of classic car service providers[/li]
[li]User edited wikis on all classic car makes & models[/li]
[li]Removal of ALL banner ads[/li]

Wish to hell these people would leave things alone when they're working good. They just have to get in there and screw things up. If it works, DON'T FIX IT!
-
Never bite the hand that gives you a free forum.

Koooooooool!
Looking forward to the upgrade! -
I'm with Marconi, just when you figure out how to use this thing they change it. I am all for a new & improved forum, but I thought that we just did that???
-
I do not know a bunch about the computer world, but I do sure enjoy speaking to folks because of it. By the way, we are up and running again and I do not notice any changes?Brownie
-
I think we are up and running again without changes. The new owners must be trying to overcome new bugs with the updated system.
-
I logged into new system for a while. I cannot comment until they finish the work.www.hudsonmotorcar.org

I tried to get on the forum early this morning and could not "navigate" Maybe I'm stupid but it sure looked like a mess to me. Way too much change at one time. Then tried again later and here we are..I guess they must have to do some more Tweaking..?
