Click on Reply (don't know if "Quick reply" will work or not, but Reply does)
Click on Add File at the bottom
This should take you to your files- you want to get to the file where your pictures are stored (usually under My Pictures)
Find the pic you want, left click on it once
Click Open at the bottom
This should take you back to your Hudson reply.
Click Insert at the bottom, and the address of the pic will show up in your message. Then go back to your message to put text before

or after your picture.
For multiple pictures, repeat the process.
And remember not to get too impatient after you click Submit, to submit your reply- it takes awhile to send it, especially if you have several pictures. -

I find that I can not post photos any longer using my old "XP Pro" OS machine but no probs if I use my wife's VISTA OS machine. It may be the different operating system or may be the newer, more powerful processor!!!

Okay see if this worksIf you're stuck in a hole, stop digging. -
Eureka, it did! Incidentally, if anyone wants one of these radiator caps, which fit the neck of all '27-'27 Essex and Hudson, I have the mold to get them made.
GeoffIf you're stuck in a hole, stop digging. -
That should have read '27-'29 models. I also have the molds to make window winders, '29 vent levers, rose pattern radiator caps, and robe rail brackets.

One of the two features (or lack thereof) of this forum program that I dislike, is the lack of any sort of instruction in how to use it. It is apparently assumed that anyone using an on-line Forum comes with a native ability to know every bell and whistle.
The other galling non-feature is the ability to get lost while navigating from forum to forum. There is no clear "map" of where you are, in relationship to other forums or sub-forums. What is needed is one of those maps you see in a mall, with a little red "you are here" dot. Then, you could move easily back and forth between the various Hudson forums and the Ford, Chevy, Nash, etc. forums out in the "lobby".
That said, I am deeply grateful to Classiccar, for making this available to us Hudson enthusiasts. I realize they didn't design this forum format, it is probably purchased as a package from some software development company. You can change the style of the windows or the paint on the siding or interior walls, but the basement and the basic plumbing come "standard." -

Let's see if this attachment works with my XP machine.
Yes it did! -
Okay except we are looking at your Hudson-Essex garage. As I recall back a few pages ago, you wanted to identify some hubcaps.
-

Not me, just trying to show that my XP machine posts photos OK.
2manyprojects started this thread so we need to see how he now gets on posting his photos. -
It appears to be a link to a photo that's invisible.

1049superg wrote:"Izat" a Buick hubcap?
nah, Buick had either a B or Buick written in the center,Have you kissed a PIT BULL lately?

maybe it's a falstaff hubcap.
-
Looks like Cadillac to me, but then "Hudson's got what Caddi-lacks"If you're stuck in a hole, stop digging.
-
Go check out eBay using: Buick, hubcap, 195*, as search words and you'll see a lot of 1950's Buick hubcaps for sale that have the same logo outline. Could be that this one in question has some paint missing.
-
yes paint is missing. could it be a 46 caddy?
-
1049superg wrote:"Izat" a Buick hubcap?
I don't know. But Buick would be my guess as well. Maybe 58 or 59?
-
Geoff C., N.Z. wrote:Looks like Cadillac to me, but then "Hudson's got what Caddi-lacks"
There is a Hudson guy from Pittsburgh that can explain that!
Kevin C. -
Kinda looks like late 60s or early 70s Buick to me, but then, whadda I Know???
-
It looks a bit like the outline of the Canada Dry logo. Still, I say it's a Buick hubcap.

Here's some trivia for you: Around the same time as Hudson's founding, Robert "Sam" McLaughlin produced McLauglin cars in Oshawa, Ontario, then did a deal where they used some Buick components and were called "McLaughlin-Buicks." The McLaughlin Motor Company became GM Canada with Sam as a major GM shareholder, Board Member and Chairman of the Board of GM Canada. He lived to be 101 years old (1871- 1972) and walked to work at GM every day from his nearby estste until he was 100.
His brother J.J., a chemist, founded Canada Dry.
Pretty successful family, eh? :cheer:HETfortyqtpi@earthlink.net (drop the HET)
