Been awhile since I've posted any progress on my Hudson. I had to be taught how to resize pics by my girl child.
Still trying to get some of the bugs outa the engine. Goes down the road nicely. couldn't afford white radials, so bought regulars(225/75-15) and found a set of porta-walls. My parts car overdrive trrans works. It had standard 3 speed when I got. First I've driven it under it'sown power since 04.
I've started workin on front sheet metal getting it ready to paint. It's gonna look kinda strange, having fresh everything from firewall forward. Body paint next winter, I hope.

Been awhile since I shown any movement on my Hudson. Been up and down the road quite a few times and and it's fun. First time I driven under it's power since 04.
I've tried 4 times already, so hope Ido it right this time.

Lookin' really good, Kim! It is a blast, isn't it?
-
Yes Russell it is a blast. I've installed an overdrive trans from a parts car I got 6 years ago and amazed how well it works. It's a thrill to pull away in second gear and shift into third at about 15 mph and listen the 8 pull. Then drop into overdrive at about 25 and cruise. Car had standard and no overdrive when I got it, I hope the 4:10 gear will give me good top speed. Still trying to get the bugs outa the engine, still noisey at the top. It's quiet when cold, in a pull very little noise, let off the gas and it's rattely. Block was decked and Mr Tallent said maybe a piston bumping the head.
I start it up every morning before I go to work, second turn and it's running.
Almost makes me have to change my drawers from the exhileration.
Thanks for the encouragement,
Kim -
