well, thank you for posting this in the hudson forum...
I would venture to say that for a car that looks to need about everything, and wouldn't even make a good street rod, this is pretty much abou right....
Best of luck to you.... -
I think this is the lesser model?, and it lives outside at an apartmemt complex!!It says it is driven every week on Sunday and has a "spare"battery in the back seat:eek:
-
I'm surprised that the engine didn't have a lot of issues, what with the exhaust for the left side of the V8 crossing with an inch or so of the carb...
From the looks of it, I don't think the car has been driven on many Sundays this year.
Looks more like a 'barn fresh' car than a car that has been driven.... -
Thanks but no thanks. I always try to drive a Hudson on Sunday.

While I'm not sure what this car would be good for (street rod....Nah! ) I'm guessing it would still be more reliable than say.......a Jaguar! Or any English or French cars from this period unrestored. (or even recent periods for that matter.) On the plus side, I think GM cars from this period are very solidly built, and I'd certainly take the transmission out of that LaSalle. At $6200, I don't think there's too much interest in big old sedans. Now a coupe....that would have real potential!

Those fender grilles on that "LazySal"(as my granfather used to call them) are even uglier than the ones on my 1939 112! LOL
-
Yuck! Turdmobile
