Are there any less expensive "swap" Inner & Outer Tie Rods ends other than the $100 per end parts ($400 total) at one of On-line "Older Car" auto parts stores.

Pacemaker - Try to find MOOG - ES 416 L & R. You should get them at any good parts store for about $25. Same as '50s Ford pickup. Norm

As Norm says, Fords of the era. My notes say 49-51 Ford cars, small Ford trucks 35-52, Mercury 39-48 and 49-52 Pilot (a UK Ford).

Apart from Ford and stepdowns no one else seems to have used that tie rod end.

    Ducor Kid,

What part number did you use to search or did you search by Year, Make, Model?

    Uncle Josh,

Thank you for helping me understand. I wanted to make sure that Left & Right did need special parts threaded in the opposite direction.
