    It's a nice looking Pickup ; I have to admit that I was hoping it was a "doer-upper" :D

Nice little hot rod. Be fun to pick up and drive for a few years before going back to original.

    Hey Paul -
Here's one that fits what you're looking for...

From what I've been told, it's located somewhere in Washington State. This one's not for sale. Last thing heard, the owner is a hermit who doesn't like visitors, doesn't want to talk to people, doesn't allow them on his property, and doesn't want to sell...

    Rick,

I talked to a guy named Randy about the pickup in Washington State today. He had some questions that I could not answer, you should be getting a call from him soon.

Well ; I've seen worse put back on the road. Doubt my wife would appreciate it on the drive though :-)

    John,
Sent you a PM on this. More info that I don't want to post here.

Yes Paul - I too have seen much worse put back on the road. At one time there was a second photo of the truck (from another angle), showing a tree laying across the left-side of the cab, causing what appeared to be extensive damage. It apparently fell on it after it was parked. You can actually see part of the tree in this photo, but the damage is not evident in this view.

Over the last day or so, I have been sending PMs between myself and John F. concerning this truck. The interest, etc., was with Randy H., who was somewhat interested in this truck - but has decided not to pursue it (has a couple other real nice 'irons in the fire, from his descriptions of them).

Look at the picture of the '39 Hudson pickup above - the one with the trees growing around it and thru the front bumper - it is the same truck shown in the pictures below (notice the license plate).
And you can see the dent in the left side of the roof of the truck, from a falling tree. Minor stuff, compared to what the elements, damp earth and rust have done to it over the years -

It is for sale now, being offered from the HET Southern California Chapter's website sales area. FYI - According to Randy, the truck is in northwest Washington State. From the pictures and description relayed, the frame is most likely 'toast', and has settled up to the axles. Owner is asking $2K for it -

I have to say what a shame it has been left to fall into this condition because from your photo's Rick it doesn't look too bad at all.

As you say from the frame down it may well be toast but if someone has a frame then perhaps the body is salvagable however it does look as it it has suffered a lot between the period your photo's were taken and now
