'51 Hudson Hornet to be on 'Search and Restore'!
-
Just finished watching 'Search and Restore' on PowerBlock TV - The last 20 seconds or so they announced their next restoration project, a 1951Hudson Hornet out of Michigan...
They showed some quick shots of picking it up, and the owner, and loading it into their trailer -
Should be interestin to see what they do with it. Any thoughts? My guess is that if 'anyone known' was involved in this (?), they've been advised to keep quiet (probably in a very legally enforceable manner).
I checked their website, nothing on it yet - Maybe on Monday -

Nice! And me without cable tv.Six in a row makes it GO!
-
I have cable but havent heard of Search and Restore. Even money they will screw it up. lol
-
Too many Moriarity's here... Gotta keep them positive waves going.Six in a row makes it GO!
-
I don't see any schedule posted online of the next show - when I find it, I will post it here.
The nice part is that usually you can watch previous episodes online, so it will most likely be available to those that might miss it. -
Your right GrimGreaser. Guess i have watched Kellys Heros to much.lol
-
if it the same show its on spike tv next sat. at 9.00am
-
"Search and Restore" are two-hour specials. They are only aired about once a month, in betwen they air the other shows in the same timeframe - 'Horsepower TV', 'Extreme 4X4', 'Trucks!' and 'MuscleCar' (each of those shows are 30 minute segments).
I've checked two-weeks out in that timeslot (that's as far as VerizonFIOS goes), and the 'Search and Restore' special is not shown. IMO, it won't be aired until around 3rd/4th week of September.
-
Power Block TV is not carried by Time Warner Cable in Ohio , So I've never heard of Search and Restore. No way to see it here.
-
Actually, once it airs you'll be able to watch the full episodes on the internet. They post them to their website.
Addendum: Link to the 'Search and Restore' web page -

Checked out the link from Rick today and it states that it will air on 11/17. The bad news is that it is going to be a "lead sled" rebuild--bummer!!! I guess with their time constraints (?) that is a logical way to go? Bellybutton engine and a quick paint job and they have a show...Brownie
-
Yea Brownie - Saw the term 'lead sled', was somewhat disappointed. Was hoping that they had 'consulted' with the HET Club, and had pulled-in restoration folks from the 'all around' to assist with the build... Guess that "ain't happenin"...
However, no matter how it goes, it will be a nice bit of publicity for Hudson -
Here's the intro for the next episode, airing on 11/17.
"Hudson Hornet Part I
The Fabulous Hudson Hornet is legend, in NASCAR racing, in animated film, and now on Powerblock, when Tim Strange rescues a stalled project from a Michigan viewer. Volunteers gently transform history into a show-stopping lead sled right before your eyes!" -
Well, they've got about a 16 second preview of the show - wonder if that Hudson he's driving is the 'finished product'?
Here's a link, so you don't need to 'page up' -

Thanks for the link Rick.
Why is it that some URL links open in a new tab while others load in the tab you are using to view the forum, which is what happened to me when I clicked on the P
"PB Search and Restore" link in your post.Dave Y

@ESSX28-1
My fault (partly). The 'insert link' tool does not automatically open a new window. It just goes to the new website. HTML code must be edited to tell the software to open a new web page.
I've fixed the links (I think). Somewhere along the line, THAT should be a suggested improvement for the website - as a default when inserting a link.
