Question on installing rear leafs on 36T.

I am trying to put the rear leafs back on my 36T and cant seem to line up the shackle and the bushings.
The manual references tool J-524 for proper spacing. Anyone know what the width of this 'tool' would be?

Walt here; If you have my tech tip book, volume one, or can borrow one, go to page 15 and read how to make and use the tool.
