time to buy air cleaners
-
I've finished the car (except paint) and now need two air cleaners for the twin H setup. I would prefer dry filter assemblies, any out there?
-
Sure. What's your budget? A really nice set (55-56 style) on Ebay just sold for $267 which looked like a good deal as they were beautifully restored. They were sold by Russ or Randy Maas.

If you get the dry filter assemblies these are the filters :napa 2110, wix 42110, AC type 5(A5C), Fram CA101. KN makes a permanent one( ie 2) E-2550. There is a guy on Ebay that sells em for $15 that are the ones that I have on my TwinH. Doug you know that originally the filters were a steel mesh that one in a while you cleaned the sprayed some oil on the mesh ala KNs. They are difficult to find and frankly suck, but neat for judged events, if you care. Ron

Doug, went on summit Racing parts. They charge $7.95 ea for the Wix 495-42110. Ski... I believe that other manufacturers used the same dry style. A friend is doing a 51 Rambler with the dual carbs the "cans" look the same. Also you may need to get brackets as well.

My budget is flexible, restorable is fine.
