I am looking for a mandrel bent fuel line runs from the pump to the carb - including fittings and requisite end flares.

I know I can purchase locally, but I want to purchase from a Hudson parts vendor/club member.

This is for a '50 Pacemaker with dual action fuel pump.

By making your own fuel line you can make it with plenty of clearance away from exhaust manifold. Not hard to do with a good tube bender and good flareing tool.

Its is hard to duplicate the original factory tube .They had a huge sweeping bend from the pump almost all the way to the carb. The tube was way out in the air away from any heat source. A lot of them havebeen cut to ad filters or shortened when the end was damaged. If you see an original on of these lines it just does'nt look "Factory" but it is,

Since I have neither the skills nor the tools to make steel lines, are any of the HET Club members making and selling steel lines for the fuel pump?

I'll gladly purchase one if the cost is reasonable.

No. What I have is a crappy attempt at making one so I could get the engine running. The OEM was not on the car either when I took possession.

Your parts store, Autozone for me, should have lengths of steel fuel line with flares and fittings already on. 5/16 tube with 1/2-20 male SAE 45° flare fittings if I remember right. I Then you just bend as you need it. The steel line the use is fairly easy to bend by hand or with a simple tubing bender.

The sweeping factory bend could probably be made by wraping around a 55 gallon barrel as a guide / mandrel,

Here is a picture of the fuel line on my 1950 Pacemaker (50A). If this is what you are needing (the top one), I can make one up next week and send it to you. I have all of the tools that everyone has referred to in the above posts. The ones in the picture look like they are copper, but they are steel with a rich patina.

I made up your fuel line today and got it in the mail, you should receive it on Thursday. I am posting a picture of it installed on my Pacemaker and it is a perfect fit. You may need to tweak it a bit for your application, as your carburetor and fuel pump gasket setup may be a little different from mine. I can help you with any adjustments that need to be made, it's really easy.

That looks great is way better than the crappy tube I bent every which way but the right way.

I am going to take a preventative step and wrap the line with heat shield as well.
