hello newbie here
-
Hello everyone,
id just like to start off by saying it's been 15 years in the making but i'll finally get my first real old girl this sat. i'm picking up a 1947 chrysler windsor. i've wanted one ever since i was 16. My only problem is i have no links for information , places to buy parts like body panels , carpet kits and such. i could use all the advise i can get. i look forward to driving my girl home this sat. thanks guys and girls -
I don't own a Chrysler but if you'll allow me to make a suggestion, I'd say that you should join a club devoted to this marque and then possibly even join your local chapter of that club.
The national club will act as a clearinghouse for information on parts and technical information, as well as the gateway to a network of fellow Chrysler owners. There may be more than one Chrysler club but the one I've heard of is the WPC Club, http://www.chryslerclub.org/.
You can look at their website for a list of local or regional organizations. These are handy, since they enable you to meet fellow owners face-to-face. This can be crucial if you're looking to find someone with a car like yours, who can answer questions or allow you to inspect their car. -
I loved the '46 Windsor I had use of 30 odd years ago ; such a great driving car.
Congratulations on your purchase and I hope you have some enjoyable times with her! -
Must be a very rare car !
