Need Studs for Twin H Manifold
-
Hello, I'm reworking a Twin H manifold and broke a couple studs, the ones that hold the intake and exhaust together. There are two long one and one shorter one. I contacted Dale Cooper and he doesnt have them and tried Fastenal and Napa and neither one have them. Does anyone know a source for these studs? Thanks!!

FYI
Suggest Looking further, Those Studs are usually available at smaller helpful Regional Auto Stores (rather than the larger Chain Stores).
Look in the Dorman 'Online Catalog' to get the Part Number of the Studs needed then give number to your nearby Auto Store to Order. -

Also, you can call ARP and tell them what you need and they more than likely will have it or something very close that will work.

I agree that studs are the way to go. I didnt think about lowes, will remember them for hardware next time. I just ordered these studs from ARP, convienient but a bit pricey. I'm not a machinest but from what I have figured out on the stud specs there are two studs 4" long and one that is 3" long both are 3/8 X 16 pitch and there is a bolt that is a 3/8 and is 1 1/4 length. These were pretty frail in my manifold assembly so broke two off removing them. Glad we (I had good help) disassembled the manifolds as they were both full of carbon and rust. Had I installed them what was in the intake would have surely got sucked into the engine. Now they are in a local machine shop for cleaning and milling. Is there a trick to milling these assemblies? Thanks!
