Thanks Les. Were there different styles of Hudson Eight hubcaps in 36 or was there just that one full face type?

As far as I remember there was only the full disc on '36,all other models in the 30's had the smaller caps,.

I think what Les meant to say was 1936 was the only year the full discs were available, along with the dog-dish type as on Brownie's car. 1936 was a unique year in many other ways as well. The wheels were a one-off for that year.

Geoff, I'm talking about Australia, I don't ever remember seeing a 1936 Hudson 8 with small hub caps here, don't forget you are in N.Z. and we always got the better gear.LOL
I remember clive Gibson was always looking for the bigger caps.

Parts book shows two different numbers for the '36 H8, one for standard and one for special. The special was the full cover one. Another oddity of export models is that both '35 and '36 models came out here with wire wheels, yet there is no listing in the parts book for these. Another example of "Get rid of the old stuff to the Antipodes?

I told you Geoff we got all the specials here in Oz, are you sure '36 came with wires, we didn't get any here, 34 & 35 had 16" & 17" wires here in Oz.If '36 had wires were they 4 stud or 5 stud.??

Thanks guys. These hubcaps are 380mm (15") so presumably some varieties of 36 had 15" wheels? The full face caps would be useful as they will fit on any 5 stud Hudson wheel, ie you don't need real '36 wheels.
