Is the title "Taking a break from the Forum"? Has part of it been deleted? There appears to be some serious issues involved here and members are leaving because of it? How are the issues supposed to be resolved if their posts are deleted or edited?

this looks to be in the "all makes" section not hudson. also MR Cates handle is changed to something else but the contents and his contact email look the same as the other day.

Sadly, it appears that the "new" forum management team and administers choose to delete any posts that consist of criticism or complaints instead of de this aling with said issues. As long as some are posting and the complaints are deleted, everything is "fine". Several of my posts have been censored now, I disdain this practice and find it intolerable.
I certainly don't want to say that I speak for all, but I have had several conversations through email and telephone with other members who feel the same way. We just don't think it is the way that Hudson folks should be treated. Many of the older Hudson guys are not very computer savvy but have a wonderful sense of history and knowledge of these cars and they should be treated with respect.
Until the attitude of the management team becomes one of helping and making the forum "user friendly" I too, will say goodbye to my Hudson friends.

This is certainly NOT an open forum, gentlemen. I, for one, have a hard time knowing someone is reading everything I write and then deciding what should be censored.
Constructive change can only occur through open discussion.

We have been fighting winds and wildfire here in Colorado, and my computer time is limited, but I will answer all when I can.

I fully expect this post to be deleted before long...slim

As with any online forum, this forum is moderated. Not just by me, but also by Rick and Jon from the Hudson side. For the most part, this just means making sure discussions match the topic (e.g. Hudson discussions under Hudson rather than All Makes), cleaning up any post duplications, deleting and blocking spam, and looking at the titles, perhaps adding in words to make the discussions easier to find down the road a ways.

I would also say that we let a fair slice of criticism and critique stay right out in the open. And we have a post that stays at the top of the discussions to let members know what's being worked on. We do want the forums to be successful, and we are always on the lookout on how to improve and grow the forums. If there's critique, we'd ask that it be kept constructive. And there's always the option of contacting us via the Contact Us page on the website.

Constructive is the key word here. Anything that was removed was not constructive.

We also look at the activity now on the forum, that there is a lot of healthy participation here, so things cannot be too bad at all. And in a slice of news, we have decided on a new search system on the forum that will be better than anything previously used.
