Walt's brake tips.
-
I just want to thank Walt for his tech tips on brake jobs. When I did the complete brake job on the 53 Hornet I followed Walt's procedure exactly. I have to tell you that I wouldn't have believed the results if someone told me how much better the car would stop. It stops great, like it is grabbing the pavement. I did two other Hudson brake jobs in the past before I got Walt's books and those cars stopped pretty good, but nothing like the Hornet. Thanks Walt. Richie.

Been doing Hudson brakes for over 70 years and slowly learned the best way to do them. That is why I say disc are not needed on Hudson's. After you drive the car 1,000 miles just adjust by the star wheel after that. Thanks for your thanks. Walt.

Good Morning Walt,
Finally had my car towed from Overton to Las Vegas, looked over yesterday,;mainly purchased 1956 Hornet for Twin-H drive train, after turning enjine by hand and checking for normal places of rust which I didn't find any under trunk & floor carpet or by front shocks or steering, even though I just finished 52 Hornet coupe, I was encouraged and may do 1956 project? Just in case I go forward am going to start collecting as much information as possible, until I read this link, I was considering dics brakes? Terefore would you please send me recommendation on overall rebuild of company power stock brakes. BTW rain shade you sent works great on my '52 Hornet, still looking for a rear set.
Thanks,
Ray -
Do you have my 2 tech tip books? In volume two (2) page 15 is the story. Can also be used on 1955 and 1956. Walt.
