Had a great meet over the weekend! I saw a part for sale by one of the vendors, had my eye on it for a while. Saw several, seasoned veteran Hudson guys walk right past it. Without a second glance! One guy even stepped on the corner of it, and I think it got bent a little bit. Figured I better not wait too long or some one else was going to snatch this thing up before me. After a brief negotiation with the owner. IT WAS ALL MINE!!!

And up on the wall where she will stay...

Don't know why but I had to have it. A bent piece of metal that I won't have to straighten. ha! Looks to be '37 Terraplane? Maybe Hudson. I'm not sure.

What took you so long to purchase it? Great piece of wall art. And it does look to be a 1937 Hudson or Terraplane.
We had a great time too. Jon Cronk and his crew did a great job.

I give. Is it what's left of a fender skirt?

If you saw it in person you could tell what it is. Not so much in the pictures. But it's a driver's side hood side on a four piece bat wing type hood. Notice the handle.

o.k. I was thinking it was too small to be a hood side . . . noticed the handle: it's what made me think it was a removable fender skirt.

Bent, Boy!!!! Have I got the part for your shop. When I was replacing the wood on the English Hudson I saved a few sections. The is the vary latest in dry wood rot. You just have to have it to set by your other wall art.... I will bring it to Laughlin this fall.

Glad you had a good time at the show. Sorry I was not able to make it this year.

That looks like something that Dick Riggs from Portland, Oregon might have brought to every swap meet for the last 50 years?

Well, I've been watching too much of those picker shows. I tried to group a couple parts all together and get a better deal. Not sure if it worked.

    That's a good idea.

That's right. But it's the first time the I ever saw it. He's going to have to find something new to bring in the crowds. I was happy to get the part, my wife liked it,...until it rubbed against her travel bag and made a big red rust colored stripe on it. oops. :\"> :D

Wow! Got a piece just like that, and I need it straightened...

Just kidding - Looks like a 'unique' piece.

Well, it's a good start for that travel bag, it might find place pretty soon on your art wall..
