Coolant Circulation in the 352cid Packard

Has anyone customized an electric water pump for this engine? I am slightly confused by the flow, but I think I have it down. I just removed the factory a/c unit and was wondering if I should block off the rear passenger side head and the back of the water pump structure leading to the heat.
Sorry for my lack of knowledge, I am just confused as to how to make this work.

I just took the stock transmission cooler off the hose and put a new aftermarket transmission cooler in front of the radiator. No one can see it, and engine and transmission run cooler !
