hey 53jetman; I need rocker panels for my 54 jet, any Ideas where to get them. Tried 2c2fabrication, and rock auto.
they both have them, but not for a jet.

It's not too big a job for a body shop to fabricate new ones. Unlike Step-downs, these are not a bolt-on item.
If you're stuck in a hole, stop digging.

I had 16g galvanized replacement rockers fabricated back in 1967 for my 1953 Super Jet. What you have to watch is that there is a slite horizontal bow to the rockers from front to rear, but it can easily be handled as you tack the new panel in place.

53 jetman; I droped the plans for new 16 gauge rocker panel, at the sheet metal shop today.
tell me some more about the bow. I did not see it when I removed them. Thanks Gene

That's what I meant by a SLITE horizontal bow. It will become apparent when you start to attach the new panels. I started about in the middle of the front door opening on my four door and worked both ways alternately until I had it tack welded to the inner frame rails top and bottom. Once tacked, I then went back and did the Finnish work.
