There used to be an on-line club roster, is it still available? And how do all of us access it if it is available. Thank you.

It's been quite awhile, and I don't think it was a complete Club roster. It was an e-mail listing for those who were good enough to send in their e-mails. (There was a list of all the users of the Classiccar forums, by username, but this never contained the H-E-T membership list, just the folks who used Classiccar. And that included Ford, Chevy, etc. people).

I would guess that eventually the Club website would contain such a list, for members only. The Club website is at http://www.hetclub.org/

I vote for an online roster accessible on the HET website for members only. It could be updated regularly. It could be published in some form, for those without internet.

The HET Club is in the final stages of testing an updated web site. When it comes on line it will include an updated roster. And yes, a published form of the roster will be available. The new website will be state of the art and will be a great improvement.

It's great as long as no one can hack this information online.

IMO, a roster should be available in the HET club website once a member signs in. I would also like to see "forum handles" listed with Email and the other usual info. I was talking to a guy for a half hour at a meet last year before we both realized that we converse alot on the forum. It was like the Shop Around the Corner, or You've got mail. Ron

I'd like to comment on the "updated web site" - correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe this is the one that will replace the one that was hosted by ClassicCar.com. Our club president has been working diligently to bring this site into being. There was, at one time, two sites - one on ClassicCar and another that was the official site - this is the one you'll get at hetclub.org. As I understand it, that one is also going away and we will have the club site on a stand-alone (??) site however it's done.
That's my understanding at any rate - but then I've been out to lunch for a looooong time (:| .

  • So...is this the official HET website? I hate to see the Hudson name associated with such a clumbsy, patched together, impossible to navagate site. Hate to be disrespectful but this site needs a LOT of work...slim

Not to worry Slim - this is NOT the official web site. Aaron's still working on that one - in the meantime http://hetclub.org will work just fine.

We are in the final stages of getting the kinks worked out of the new hetclub site. The biggest difference is that the new site has the membership database integrated into the site. This means that you will be able to check on your membership status, renew, etc all online. The issue right now is I am trying to get all the cars loaded. Since we are using a free software, I am having to adapt the existing structure to support vehicles. Charlotte is currently dual entering into both systems. The second piece is getting all of her reports in defined so she can create all the mailing lists for the WTN and also financial reports for the Treasurer. Right now I am the only one working on it so it is slow and takes a lot of time. Our new site does not replace what is here on ClassicCar. I know these guys are working hard to get things fixed, like the club site, it will require some patience. The paper roster is coming. Again since it is a volunteer effort, full time jobs and deadlines have a tendency to push completion dates to the right. Goal is to have it out before the National.

Thanks for the update, Aaron ... it's been a long time coming, but getting the roster info on the web site is going to be a huge improvement, especially if members are diligent in keeping their info up to date.

So, Aaron, you're saying that there won't be a forum section of the HET site? :(
