    Hello All,

I am a new member and am jumping into a restoration of a 1953 Hudson Hornet coupe. I've got the motor and trans our and am trying to separate the transmission form the engine- but it wont come loose. I am afraid to force it. I have removed the top two bolts and lovers plus the moisture drain and exhaust bracket. IT separates about 1/4 inch or so but thats it.

The motor was ( and still is) frozen so I am trying to get the trans out to clean up and rebuild the 308- any tips for me on what I am doing wrong? Any tricks to pulling a hydramatic with OD from a 308? any advice is very welcome!

with the dust cover off , look at the flywheel-hydra-matic has torus cover. plain english there is about 40-50 bolts holdingtorus cover to flywheel. remove these bolts tranny will seperate the flywheel will still be attached to crank. what i don't know is the torque when putting back together. if you know please post. that is all i need before i put my engine back in
