Plan to attend the 49th annual Doc's Apple Blossom Meet on May 11, 12 and 13 in beautiful Front Royal, Virginia!

I'll be in New York before & after. I'm interested in suggestions as to how a visiting Kiwi could sensibly get to the meet & back to NY.
    Thanks

If you you mean "Cheaply" then the bus is cheapest something like Greyhound or Megabus. Mega bus is a no frills traval company bolth have on line ticket sites

We certainly don't want you to get this close to Doc's Meet (from N.Z.) and miss it!

Unfortunately, there's neither train nor bus service to Front Royal or any nearby towns. There will certainly be Hudson folks driving into town from various points in Pennsylvania, New York, Virginia, Maryland and Washington, D.C., so (with pre-arrangement for a "lift") you could take public transportation to a certain meeting point, and ride the rest of the journey in a Hudson. When people disperse on Sunday, you could almost certainly find a ride back to a bus or train station.

Where in New York, will you be staying?

Coming over to attend daughter's graduation & staying with her in West Village (10014)
I'm certainly open to getting to Front Royal in the way you suggest & would happily contribute my share for a ride from anywhere along the way to the meet.
    Thanks

I'll sniff around to see who might be coming in from the NY area. There are a number of New Jersey Hudsonites who will be traveling to Front Royal (New Jersey is that little patch of land just across the river that is named for our great automobiles, hee-hee!).

Meanwhile, if anyone who reads this, is traveling to Front Royal in May from the New York City suburbs (or knows someone who is), please step forward and help our New Zealand friend out!

Harry, could you PM Dave (from NZ) to discuss a possible "lift" to Front Royal? If you can work something out, please announce it here on this thread, so that we'll know. I have asked several people in NJ or Penna. and will post anything definite here on the thread.

    Hey Frank,
Sorry we failed to connect at Doc's Meet. I found Harry 54 & Jon B & a bunch of other friendly HET folk & had a great time. I sure appreciated all the hospitality I was shown.
Particular thanks to Harry 54 for the ride from NY & back again. First time for me to be more than 5 minutes in a Stepdown & what a great way to learn about the Stepdown experience.
11 hours in the Hornet at highway speeds & it didn't miss a beat!!

I'll be back again, just don't know when.

Was able to stop by @ the Fire Station for a couple of hours on Saturday. Always nice to get out to Doc's, even if it is only for few hours in the afternoon.
I know the setting of the date is a tradition by now and is held in conjunction with the somewhat local AACA Meet, but wish it wasn't on Mother's Day weekend. That Sunday morning part of the Meet at Skyline Caverns has always been a highlight for me - however, I need to 'be there' to celebrate the holiday and spend the time with my wife, children and grandchildren.

It was a pleasure meeting Dave (Essx28-1) at Doc's Meet and I'm honored he'd travel literally halfway around the world from New Zealand to our little old meet in Virginia! I have some snapshots and as soon as I can get around to it, I'll try to post them.

Re-posting photos of Doc's Meet, May 11-13, 2012. The others took way too much time to view, going back and forth...

Great pictures, but I do have on question - why is it, when you have all these beautiful Hudsons, et al, parked in a parking lot there is always at least one boob with a brand-x that has to park in the lineup???? :)
