Why do I look at that photo and the 1st thing thru my mind is that the Hudson is a new 1950 Pacemaker. It just looks like a Pacemaker - and I have no reason on earth why I think that. I know, I know, it could be any model of that era.

Well, we know what the state of my mind is!!!!!!!!!!

Ok guys, That is where I was born in 1949 ( Physicans Hospital)and lived there until 1952. And guess what, my grandfather had a maroon 1948 Commodore 4ds. It's hard to tell exactly the intersection, possible 37 Ave and 82nd St. There was a Fields Dept store down the street. A lot of store fronts in that area that match the photo. The apartment house behind is on 81st and the IRT #7 EL in the upper left corner. The local Hudson dealer was in Flushing near the present site of City Field, a couple miles east.

My Grandfather bought his 1942 Commodore 8 sedan at that dealer and my Dad bought a used 49 super 6 sedan. My Dad later traded his 49 super in for a 51 super sedan that he drove until 64...
