262/308 Freeze Plug Sizes
-
Does anyone have a list of the freeze plug sizes for a 262 or 308 engine? I am starting to put my list together for an engine rebuild. It would be helpful if I could get a list of sizes, location and quantity needed. Clifford performance use to sell a freeze plug kit, but none of the other suppliers list them.
Thanks,
Rich -
3 x 2" shallow brass cups for left side are Clevite 219-7066.
1 x 1" convex steel disc for upper rear is Clevite 219-1008.
2 x 11/16" convex steel discs for front and rear of oil gallery are Clevite 219-1045.
2 x 0.567" shallow steel cups for RF & LR of block skirt are Clevite 219-2164.
4 x 3/8" deep steel cups for right side of block are Clevite 219-2185.
The hardest plug to get is the 1-13/16" convex steel disc for the rear of the cam gallery. You can get these through Jackson Auto in Duluth, MN 1-800-333-8059.
You can also PM me if you'd like me to send you a kit with all the above for $40.00 including shipping in the US.Workin Stiff -
Thanks for the help Hudson308. I am going to see if I can find them locally, but I will keep you in mind if I can't find them.
