Help ID-ing wrecked classic car
-
Hi there! I recently found a wrecked classic car in a dry river bed near my house in New Mexico. I'm hoping you all might be able to identify what kind of car it is. Here is a link to more photos: http://theblondecoyote.com/2012/01/20/desert-treasure-red-wreck/

Thank you! Mary -
From what I can see of it and by the small amount of the rear suspension that I can see my guess is a 60 to 63 Corvair.

Marconi, I am in agreement with You. As soon as I saw the Picture I thought 61/62 Corvair. Ralph Nader, and his bunch killed the little car before it really had a chance to show it's true worth. I had a'66 model with a 4 bbl carb and I loved it! Plenty of power, light weight, and very nice styling. I wish I had mine back.

Thank you! This car is about 10 miles from the nearest paved road. No idea how it ended up out here!
