I watched Pickers tonight - one of my favorite shows.
Got really interesting with the stepdowns outside of "Tricky Dick's" place, but couldn't believe seeing the Super Jet in the garage. First time I think I have ever seen a Jet on television.
Was hoping they would talk about it, since it was in numerous scenes, but not a mention. -
Dwight Wilkerson is a hoot!bobdriveshudson wrote:Dwight Wilkerson, member of the MidSouth Chapter(mostly TN, AL, KY, and many others). He's for "real". He usually comes to the Pigeon Forge meet in October. Bob P -
Yeah, they should have shown more footage of the Hudsons. They panned across them outside for maybe 2 seconds and that was it. i bet Dwight has a few stories to tell about those cars.Dave W.
What's life without a Hudson? -
Stopped in to see Mike of American Pickers and talked to him for about 1/2 hour. He is just like he appears on TV. He has a 36 Hudson or Terraplane grill hanging on his wall in the shop area and a mid 20s Essexs radiator frame(Horz. levors) hanging on his office wall that someone has painted a picture on it. He wont sell them and thinks they are the neat things. He lives about a 100 miles from me and its interesting but, smaller than it looks on TV. He is opening a store in Tenn. and moving alot of things there. Said he started collecting things when he was just a kid, mainly from the city dump. Daniell (SP) wasnt there (NUTS) she only works in the morning. I wanted to see if those tatoos were real. LOL

You may already know that but, just for your info. You don't need cable to get American Pickers. You may have it on your computer on history.com
Here's the link for the Tricky Dick's episode. Michel

hey, thanks for the link. i didn't know i could watch it online. i'm not a big computer person, so most stuff like that i don't know. i just watched this episode and it was pretty cool. don't blame him for not selling the grille or the ramblur sign. i would bave loved to looked around there too.
