steering gear
-
I have a steering gear that I need to ID.I think it fits a '40 to '47 Hudson. The casting # on the housing is 30818. The shaft is 41" from the housing to the steering wheel end.Thanks. Norm:huh:
-
Norm, My books don't show that part exactly but a 5 place part number would indicate a late twenties model Hudson not a forties Hudson.
-
Hud- That #-30818- is the casting # on the housing. Norm
-
Possibly a a Gemmer number not a Hudson one
-
I think We're gonna need cross shaft diameter and length, and right or left exit from housing.
Also the mounting hole size and pattern. -
A picture would be more than helpful. If you're stuck in a hole, stop digging.
