Ok so I am considering purchasing a 1965 Ford Falcon 4door in great condition. But I live in Montreal, I do not want to buy a car just to store it away, I buy cars to drive them, but what I am wondering is if it will be able to drive in the snow. Do I just put some weight in the trunk and some winter tires on it and call it a day? What about the paint job? Is it even worth it?

Thanks in adavnce for the help

These Cars were made to be driven, If you do, good for You. BUT, I don't know how they clean up snow and Ice up north, if there is any sodium products (SALT) make sure to rinse it off the top and bottom of the car, frequently!

Yeah I would definately go through the car wash once every other week for sure. Especially that it has no rust. Ok so now it really is just based on my driving skills in the snow then. I appreciate your help.

Beautiful Falcon you intend to purchase. They are light in the rear. Putting weight in the trunk will be a big help, especialy if it has a V-8 engine. When I lived back east I loaded my 64 El Camino with logs in winter. Never had to use snow tires or chains. The wifes car had cement bags in the back for extra weight.

Let us know if you get the car. It looks like a keeper.
