Money means nothing when you drive your Hudson like I do. I never want to know what I spent total to make my Hudson the driver it is. No 2 pieces were together when I started to put it back together. I;ll tell you this much, the Germany paint job cost me $7,000, the chroming cost me $6,500, every piece was chromed, inside and out, and the upholstery shop came out to $5,500 and I supplied the material. The machine shop I never kept total, and , plus all the small stuff that was ordered, and 5 years labor. But I now enjoy driving across this country every year and have driven a total of 139,000 since 1998. And I have never had to touch the car but drive it. I can back out of my garage and drive it anywhere. Do yours the same and enjoy your labor and money spent. Walt.

These brackets are actually the stops for the windows. they prevent the front door gall window from over traveling down. They go at the bottom of the division bar.

Maybe they used the same for each application. Wouldn't be first time.

I know I had a couple of those pieces laying around somewhere. 27 years ago I had the car painted and reupholstered. A glass man came to the upholstery shop to do the rear window gasket install after the headliner was in, and also the door and quarter glass. Those brackets must have been left out. I put them up in a plastic tub with other small screws and bits.
The upshot of all this is: The door glass on both sides has cracked at the rear, about two inches from the rear of the glass, the cracks are almost identical on both sides. I am thinking the cracks happened when the door was shut with the windows rolled all the way down. SO, without these brackets, the window rolls down way too far and shutting the door can crack the glass??? This might be the solution to the problem before I replace the glass in the doors for the third time. If I cannot find those brackets, does anyone have a spare left and right pair to sell? Kenneth.
