Wanted: Stepdown 2-door front seat
-
Just testing the water here a bit.
I'm going to be starting on the interior in my Hudson soon, and I'd like to find a useable 2-door front seat core if at all possible.
My car currently has a 60's era GM bench in it, and while it looks OK, it's not quite right.
I do have a parts car 4-door, and I may cut the seatback in half and make it split/fold if I have to, but ideally, I'd like to get my hands on a useable 2-door bench seat core.
I'm not looking for a nice seat at this point, a base and a set of springs would be fine in fact.
Thanks,
Keith -

Keith: May I suggest adding your geographic area so that those who have the seat and are in you area would be inclinded to contact you directly.
Good Luck with your search. -
Yikes - sorry about that, I meant to include it in my initial post.
I'm in Western WA. -
I just bought one from Jason in Fontana, Ca. (Bill Albright's Twin H Ranch), Not sure if he has any more.

only if you were closer...
Have you kissed a PIT BULL lately?

Jim Harmon from northwest Oregon passed away last year, and he had a lot of parts and inventory. I think a family member took it over, but I don't have contact information.
Dick Riggs would know- he's in the directory, or email me: mmittge at compprime dot com for his number (I don't want to publish it on the net without permission).
Glad to see you're closing in on finishing your car, Keith. :cheer: -
Yes, you are correct, a family member is stepping up and continuing Jim's business. I met him last spring at the Portland swap meet. Nice guy, but seemed a little "frazzled" since he's stepping into some BIG shoes, so be patient. He gave me his contact info, but I've since misplaced it....I'll keep an eye out for it and post if I find it. I've been keeping an eye out for a split back seat as well.
Thanks,

We also need a 2 door split seat for a 52 brougham, we are in north west Alabama.
We need the base and seat backs. Any leads would be appreciated. Thanks, Bob P -
If you find the correct seats for the two door coupe, I need the seats for a four door 51 Commodore and would be interested in buying what you have left.
-
Have everything for a front seat but the steel bottom panel (have the cushion bottom, two cushion backs, two steel backs), but could be adapted and changed from a four door seat pan. I am in central Illinois

I have a front complete seat from a 1950 Hudson Pacemaker. I live in Lake Havasu CIty AZ. I am not sure if shipping would be feasable. Let me know if you are interested.

I have the rear seat, complete drive train, tail lites, trunk latch and handle, steering column, rear window cut out one inch from rubber complete with molding, dash complete, windshield moldings ++++
Let me know if any of that would be helpful

What grill did you install in that chopped top car????
-
I have access to a complete front seat from a Pacemaker coupe, no cloth but full springs, tracks, bottoms, backs etc.
I live in Canada, about an hour from Buffalo.
You coming up this way for any silly reason? If yes, we could chat.

I knew I would come across Jim Harmon's successor contact info eventually. He wrote his name and number on one of Jim's old business cards...
