1940 Sedan Restoration Progress

    Hi all

Here's an update on my 40 restoration.

I had a problem with the water jacket (previous posts) but luckily Ron Nimtz sorted me out with the necessary parts.

Water temperature was also a problem - still do not know if the 40 came with a thermostat but I improvised as I could not get anything local that fitted.

The reverse cable was also missing and I was not sure if the car would even go into reverse at all. The replacement cable fitted perfectly and I managed to get the wheels turning backwards.

Link to Youtube video attached for those of you interested ...

    Cheers

BTW, there's a NOS grill holder, like fender to fender and hood down on eBay. Looks like the sister to the one I got. Guy found like 5 of them in an old shed before they tore it down.
