Does this look like a hudson part? or clues?

I was on a walk with my wife yesterday, path we have been on many times, only this time my spidey senses were tingling. I looked in the woods at one point and saw the shiny parts of this glaring at me! when I went to investigate I found a car 3/4 buried in the ditch, this is the only loose piece I could get out. it is a 4 door, late 40's early 50's judging by the curve of the back pillar to trunk area. has detachable rear fenders that were missing on the side I could see.

After looking at the grain and color, I would say it is some sort of Oak tree.

After very close review and analysis, the paint can looks early sixties, maybe even aMontgomery Wards special...slim -
It definitely is a car, the historical society around here dug a 1929 Plymouth out of the nature center not more than a mile from where I found this. Next time my wife or I go for a walk by it we will try and get a picture of the part of the car that is sticking out of the ground, hopefully it wont snow before then! We also found another car in a different location about a mile down the trail, that one was completely buried only thing showing was part of a door jam, looking inside I could see seat springs.

Looks like a dash panel out of something "early 40's"??? Maybe? That wide stainless piece should be a clue to some one.

Yeah, the second photo has it right side up, looks like the dash panel from a 49/50 Plymouth or Dodge. Has all the right openings!

The nature preserve that these were found near was a land fill at one time, I am up in faribault, Mn. There is a natural spring in the middle of the preserve that the water comes up rust colored because that is where they dumped millions of steel cans back then! Both vehicles appear to be in "ditches" next to trails and laying on their sides, it could be that they went off the trail, rolled and were just left there to get buried, the area flooded this year and stuff was apparently uncovered!
