hello all
-
I sure am glad I finally found a forum where I can get some info, and possible advice. I recently aquired my 31' essex supersix coupe from my grandfather. I remember playing in it as a kid in the barn about 20 to 25 years ago. I've wanted it every since then. After his three strokes and deteriorating health he realized he would never be able to do anything with it, so he handed it off to me. I now have the grill, hood, and headlights on it just to look at it all together. Trying to get a little more info before I start tearing into it. So I look forward to talking with all of you.

Welcome Mike, you've come to the right place. I'll put in a quick plug for the Hudson-Essex-Terraplane Club (website: http://www.hetclub.org/) which is a great resource for Hudson and Essex owners and a great way to tap into the worldwide enthusiast base.
Go ahead and ask your questions, I'm sure you'll get some knowledgeable answers! -
Welcome to the wonderful world of Essex. I have a couple of 28 Essex Coupes on the road here in New Zealand & Mike P (on this forum as essexcoupe3131) runs a very nice 31 Essex Coupe Hot Rod.
between us all we have a lot of very relevant Essex knowledge that we are happy to share. If you are not already a member, can I suggest that you join the HET Club where you will find even more friendly & knowledgeable folk. They produce a membership list (roster) & you may find someone near you with a similar car that you could learn a lot from.

Hello
Welcome Mike -
Hi Mike, Looks like a great project. There's a lot of knowledge and parts around. My dad had a 31 Essex sedan I have fond memories of.
Where are you located? Have you joined the HET club yet? I would recommend it, you will meet some great people who will help you get this car back together.
