Engine mounts
-
Hello everyone,
I have finally found out what was making a noise and what was popping. It is my drivers side engine mount. With the hood up and you let go of the clutch quickly, the engine moves a good couple of inches. So I decided it would proberly be best to just replace both. So my question is, where is a good place to buy new engine mounts for a 51 Hudson Super six with the 262 motor in it? Thanks for your help. -
51 Hudson - K Gap should have them. Ck. with Jason at Vintage Coach (909) 823 9168. Norm

I just put new mounts in our 54 Hornet with 308 last weekend. Bought them at O'Reilly's for $3.29 each. There part number is 2280.

Front mounts for a 70s 80s AMC with the 232 or 258 OHV 6 cyl engine bolt in if you aren't looking for originallity.

Thanks everyone for your help. I called O'Reilly's and they said they will have to special order them and I would have to pay for the shipping to there business. So everything would come up to around 12 dollars. I have to pay ahead of time so I thnk I will order them tomarrow. I will order the orignal ones in a few months and change them out but I just want to get it fixed soon so I can get the Hudson on the road before its time to put her away for the winter.

Well I bought the mounts from O'Reilly's and installed them today. They line up perfect and work well. Thanks for your help.
