What would be the correct tire size for the '33 Terraplane six, with 16" wire wheels? I thought 6.00X16, but the tires on it now (which date from the 1930's) are 6.50X16....Also, where is a good place to buy the tires, tubes, and spoke liners? Thanks for any help!

I believe 6.00x16 is the right size, to confirm I can have a look at the ET6 owners manual tomorrow as it's 2am here now...
I bought 2 new ones on ebay.co.uk (Excelsior brand) but I guess (depending on your location) it's not the best choice for you...

The other 2 ones are NOS Michelin without cracks bought locally in France.
Liners were in excellent condition so I left as is but changed the (probably original) red rubber tubes for new ones (easy to find and quite cheap)
White wall tires including é side mounts came up to 1500€
    Location : France

1933 E-T six uses a 17x5.25" tire on a 17 x 3" wheel. Check out the Mech Spec sheet for 1933 Hudson and E-T on the online library @

Special models, as in KU Special, usd a 16x6.00” tire on a 16x4.00” wheel.

Thanks Alex, that's a great reference link.
My car is a KU, but I'm not sure what makes up a "Special"? It looks as if those 16" wires were a one year only wheel! I will likely need at least 2 nice wheels (mine appear to be badly weathered)if anyone reading this post can help! Thanks!
