The designer of this kit brought a pre-production sample to Oklahoma City. IMHO it's very well done. I intend to build a couple...

I contacted them about buying this kit. They emailed me back saying it should be out in October. I hope so because the 53 model kit they make was supposed to ship in May and its still not available.

Well, I actually SAW one in an unassembled state at the National. However, I guess it was a prototype. The one in the photo was built by Press Kale's son Terry, who's a model builder...

Scale Auto magazine had coverage of a model show about six months ago and one car shown was the 1953 Hornet. It was the car that was made up for the box photo for that model. Even after all that time, the model is still not available. This next one, the racer, will be available probably when the moon turns blue.

This is today's America...nobody here can make 'em. It all depends on the difference between what your Chinese supplier promises and actually delivers...

I already got one pre-ordered and I'll probably get 2. 1 for racing trim and one in standard. I'm excited about it. There's never been any other cars form the Hudson Motor Car Company of any year in plastic kit form.

Yeah, I've been waiting for this kit since February as well. I'd still rather they get the mold right the first time, rather than crank out junk. If it takes another 9 months to get the lines and part fit right, It'll be worth the wait. I'll take two.

Make up a tow bar and put the racer in tow behind the stock one! Just like they used to do..

Not a bad idea. You could make up all kinds of historically detailed displays. That's the great thing about plastic model kits, it makes it easier to modify and configure the models any way you want since they're in pieces. You can't say that about die-cast models.

I printed the copy of the box on card stock and made my own box. At least I have a box. Looks pretty cool. Gave one to a good friend!

Are there any good pictures around that show the typical tow setup?
