Although I just became aware of it, there have been changes in our mailing system for Members who live outside the United States. Magazines are shipped DSL and mailed locally (thus the Auckland Post Mark, Geoff).

I already know that Canadian First Class Delivery has been slow. Please email me or post here if you have not received your magazine or if you have, the date it arrived. HETfortyqtpi@earthlink.net

We will get this right for the July/Auguast issue. Please understand, however, that I am 4,000 Kilometers away from the printing and mailing process and don't oversee it. I appreciate your patience...

As bad as the U S Postal System is the Canadian system is abysmal, in most cases. I've had experiences in the past with e-bay purchases in Canada that have taken up to a month to get from there to here (Maine at the time). Post marks bore out the material had been shipped in a timely manner so it was the transhipment. Maybe in Canada they dump everything into a next week bin when it comes to shipments out of country.

I had one ebay seller lived in the Vancover area would actually bundle up his sales and drive to the U S to mail them to buyers here. Drastic, but it worked. Mayabe we ought to try that with the WTN - have somebody take them to a Canadian post office. Ok, ok. wild idea!!!

Whatever happened this issue is not the norm. For the last 3 years I have had first class shipping the WTN has been right on time without fail. I worked with Sam when we had shipping issues to Canada. He fixed these problems. If the WTN ships on a Monday in the US without fail we get it the next week. No if, ands or buts. There are no issues with either USPS, or Canada Post for us. And for shipments to the US last year we shipped over 1500 packages to the US via Canada Post on our end and USPS on US end and every single one made it where it was supposed to go on time.

As stated this is not a problem with the postal system some type of error was made at the shipper.

Hasn't there been several bad tornadoes in the region that the WTN gets printed? That might have created havoc at the BMC (bulk mailing center).

Received my WTN down here today with the same German post mark as Spencer Yarrow's WTN. I can understand, and it seems an efficient system, that DSL would bulk ship to a country and then mail the magazines locally as Sam refers to in his OP, but WTFIGOH?

There is obviously an internal DSL problem and I guess that DSL will provide an explanation to HET management by and by. Seeing that DSL did manage to send a pack of magazines to New Zealand you would have to wonder, seeing as how the WTN was on-posted from Germany, if the label on the pack of magazines for Australia was misread and put with the pile of stuff to go to Austria.

To SamJ, looks like it doesn't help either. Today the strikes were in Montreal and Toronto, two main centers. Hope it will be done soon.

Ah the wonders of Google Translate. We will let Michel and Pierre determine how much Google has butchered the French language:

    Hello Michel

Ah do not t you go get yours soon lol
and I think you have probably finished reading it before me, as my English n is not as perfect as yours ....

Otherwise the restaurant in advance so slowly, the longest has been to strip the whole car up to the plate, c is finally over ...

I will soon be painting and then the electric circuit, but it takes a little more on why that is lol c ca reviient an expensive restaurant

and you or are you? it would be nice if you can send pictures m your car

    See you soon

ps: excuse me with mos American friends for the translation, of course if you want you just translate them
    thank you to you

Ah - now it makes a bit more sense. resturant = restoration. I ran that post thru Babblefish and the reference to "resturant" confused me (not hard to do, actually). Seeing it a 2nd time I see what is intended.

The electronic payment system has changed in the last year or 2. It used to be that you phoned/faxed/emailed/mailed your credit card number directly to Charlotte Sargent, but now its all done via the HET website and PayPal. The ROC guys are correct in one sense, but they can still subscribe to WTN electronically at no cost to themselves.
