1939 HUDSON Pickup on eBay
-
Wow! Thought I wouldn't see another... Looks to be a 98 Series 112, the 3/4 ton 'Big Boy' model.
Am interested in seeing what it goes for - not many of these around.

Better tell 'Teeny' about this one - if I were to get this truck I'd need to find a new home! I've got too many 'projects' already anyway...Kevin C. wrote:Rick,
Here is your chance to get the "Big Brother" to your '39!

Posted to the subject eBay auction:
Q: Hi, I am writing from Argentina, I'm interested in buying the 112-grille emblem for my car. Is it possible for you?. What is the final price, shipping costs included? Kind regards
A: Sorry not going ti sell parts off truck
To the individual from Argentina - These have bee produced (in very limited quantities). If you have an interest in picking-up a reproduction set (they will need to be chromed), let me know and I will see if I can put you in contact with the party that sold me a set...

Mike (WA) wrote:I think the grill and inserts would almost be worth the present money on it.
Surprisingly the inserts are not hard to find although they are usually pitted being cast pieces. But the grill is a different story altogether! They are as hard to find as the side grills for the senior cars.
It looks to be in good shape except for the bottom piece. It even has the center stainless piece. As a side note, the leading edge on the louvers is stainless steel. It is a very narrow piece that is crimped on.

You've got that right Kevin! I'd give my 'eye teeth' for a few parts off of that truck, to include the grille, center stainless piece, and a few other pieces.Kevin C. wrote:Mike (WA) wrote:I think the grill and inserts would almost be worth the present money on it.

On that note, it looks like the truck is missing the headlight mounts, buckets, and quite a bit of other stuff.
Back to reality - If the seller ends up selling it off for parts, I'm interested in the center floor section (the one that the floor shifter lever is sticking out of). I still haven't found a suitable piece for my truck - I may end up having to fabricate something together.

Yup, noticed that. However, take a close look - it's actually upside down (notice the upside down 'U' in Hudson).ESSX28-1 wrote:look at tailgate!! Is it possible to put it on backwards or has the photo just been reversed somehow?? See the "HUDSON" name.
My guess is that someone cut a door into the tailgate (for whatever reason), and put the metal back in as a 'flap'.
