I think this is an interior part, but where does it go? I am not even sure it goes on the Hollywood. It was in one of the many boxes of parts that came in the car, which was already disassembled when I got it.

    thanks

It goes under the aluminum cover for the treshold of the doors on step downs. there is also a black metal piece that goes with it.

Don as previously stated this piece is part of the door scuff panel and is installed under and outside of the piece labeled with the HUDSON name. Below both of these items should be a ribbed steel plate that supports these aluminum pieces. The steel plate is ribbed along it's lengh and fits inside and under both of the aluminum scuff plates.

    Hope this helps.

Do the 1947 models require the same kind of parts under the scuff plates?

Life is good... The older the car, the fewer the parts. My 36 does not have door plates. The carpet ends (I am excited that is has carpet) right where the wood floor ends and the running boards start... Well, I guess it does not show in this picture--oh well?

The older the car the fewer the parts - I know that's right. 1920's parts books
were around 50-60 pages, 1930's up to 100-110, 1950's upwards to 200 pages.

We all get fatter with age I guessl. :)

I DONT BELIEVE THAT PArt is FOR THE PLATES ON THE DOOR SILLS. I BELIEVE THEY ARE THE STRIPS THAT HOLDS THE PANEL BETWEEN THE DOOR AND COWL. THEY ATTACH RIGHT NEXT TO THE DOOR PANEL.

That was my first impression. Like under the dash on the sides.

Yes, it is the vertical piece at the front of the door that the windlace is stapled to (note staple marks) and it has a track to accept the kick panel. It's attached to the pillar (screw holes).
