Hi, A friend of mine in LA just got this cap for me from a guy who bought it at an estate sale. I am guessing must be 53 or 54 with JET on the back. Has anyone else got or seen one of these before?

Indeed I remember those hats, give-aways from the dealer in 1953 probably. My dad was a hudson mechanic for Edd Young Hudson in Culver City, Ca from about 1950 to early 1957 and we had two of those hats, don't know what happened to them. There were a lot of things that went missing from back then, and looking at the condition our's probably rotted from my dad wearing them. Would love to get one again just for display.:)

Thats interesting to know Eddy,it does look pretty fragile, the material part is very thin so if they were worn often I don't think they would last long at all. This one must have been put away in a draw and its amazing it has survived in perfect condition.

These have been repoped before, someone was selling them at a Nat. meet about 20 years ago. I still have a couple of them, a new one kept in my HORNET. RD
