There is so much that is wrong with this ad:

-- first off, he calls it a Studebaker
-- secondly, he wants $1,850 for it
-- thirdly, the condition of the car--Damn!

I recognize that car. that's the car that was driven only on Sundays by a little old lady - at the local race track.

Man, you couldn't even make a good rat rod out of that wreck. Not many parts left either.

Apologies in advance, but it looks to me like this moss covered Hudson would be a great acquisition for someone whose handle is "Swampy Meadows"

And that, boys and girls, is why they call the Pacific Northwest the "garden spot" of the country- you can grow vegetation virtually anywhere! My office window overlooks Safeway- the area between the sidewalk and the curb is asphalted, and is growing a very attractive crop of moss. Its like a little lawn, that they don't have to mow!

That truck in the ad is just as ridiculous- they'd be lucky to get that price for that old Dodge if it were running!

Here is one you can use for spares, it came for $200.00.

Amazingly the oil in the sump is still nice and clean. When they eventually found the motor.

You never know, maybe the interior is cherry. Or maybe included in the price you are buying futures on the Raccoon dung market. Hey, it could happen!

I saved a copy of one of the photos for future reference. Whenever I get frustrated with my own Hudson, I can look at and know that no matter how bad things may be, they aren't THAT bad...:pinch:

Best part of the ad was "almost complete, but little bit wreck, good for parts, or "rebuilt"." The blind eye of the beholder comes to mind. Might be worth 18.50, maybe he wanted 1850 penny's?

    1953 Hornet sedan Twin-H
Custom front springs, drop-blocks out back, Clifford 6-2 headers exiting out back shotgun style, Pertronix, and Flames!

1964 Chevy C-10 Longbed, 396/TH400 lowered just enough and \"easy to touch up\" Black paint.

2003 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor
Caved in quarter and fender. Bad paint. Non-True-Trac heap. But it's paid for.

That poor old Hudson must be facing NORTH,

"Moss always grows on the north side of the trees" is an old folk saying.

When I see these cars I think about, once it was at the Hudson dealership
all shiny and new, and the customer and dealer shook hands on the deal.

Someone went to work in that car, drove babies home from the hospital
went on vacations and fishing trips and enjoyed that HUDSON!
