Gas Tank Swap
-
Are there any one-to-one gas tanks swaps out there?
Just found mine is leaking, probably repairable, but if I can get
another tank in just by going to the local parts store, I will do
it so I can keep moving forward with the everything else I need
to so (having a running engine is require for the repairs that need
to be made right now (timing, carb settings, water distribution and
starter engaging). -
When I restored my Essex, I took the gas tank (with plenty of pinholes) to a GasTank ReNu shop. Had it back in a couple of days and back on. I have not had any problems with the tank in 10 years. I also had them try their process on my Vacuum Tank that was full of holes and it still works with no signs of leaks.
